The characters are fun but I don't understand putting a one scene side character Boolio in a set. There are countless more relevant characters to put in there.
October 18th, Enjoyable Build. Daver13 I really enjoyed putting this together. Retractable legs would be a great addition.
I was missing 2 parts and ordered them. The only issue with this is the part numbers in the instruction book don't correspond with the website.
I had issues with using the App on my phone to build, as the resolution made it difficult to identify some pieces.

Thing is massive. The instructions actually have images to show you how to properly lift it and move it around. I clocked roughly 21 hrs total build time.
I'm not sure if that's fast or slow. Make sure you not only have somewhere spacious to build it but also somewhere in mind to put it before starting.

Each of the four boxes contained like 15 bags of pieces, the boxes were not packaged by stage, instead i had to sort through all four.
I started around on a friday. Im still not done, but coming up on about 18 hours. If you are like me and grew up with legos and love star wars, but only got the sets that your parents could afford to get you but always coveted the big expensive ones, then this is definitely up your alley.
Time consuming, fun to build, and incredibly detailed. I had been waiting for this thing to be available for about 8 months, and as soon as i saw it was in stock, i jumped on it.
The only dilemma i have right now is where i am going to put it. If you are a parent, and thinking about buying this for your kids, think twice because this is NOT a toy.
I have two kids but bought this for myself. It would definitely be a great family build project though.
This build has so far been tedious, but an absolute blast and i cant wait for the finished product! This kit is huge. It took my 3 boys and me over 18 days to complete it on a part-time basis.
We took out time building it because we enjoy the entire build process. It is pretty cool the way it's designed.
It has a Techniques internal frame and the armor plates rest on top of the frame. I wish they designed the armor plates to attach to the frame to make it a stress bearing piece and adding to the overall rigidity of the model but alas they did not.
When you finally place all the armor on top of the frame it will cause the frame to flex hence you cannot just pick up the model but you will have to carry it a certain way if you want to move it.
Of course I'm just nit-picking, make no mistake this is an awesome model and an engineering miracle.
I love it and it's totally worth it. For anticipation, fun, family time and shear WOW factor, this product gets a 5 of 5! Since we all love it, why a 4 of 5 then?
Getting into the few usable spaces is also not so user-friendly. That said, we still love it! It was much bigger than I thought it was despite knowing how many pieces there were.
I ended up working on it for about an hour each day after work and it's been a ton of fun. There are so many small details that just haven't existed on this level before on Legos and while I had been a bit hesitant to spend the money on this at first, I can say that it was more than worth it.
There is a sense of pride and accomplishment to seeing it slowly take shape and when it's finally done, it's almost sad because the work is over.
Can't wait for the next Ultimate Star Wars Lego set. Gonna be bigger and better! Great set. Really impressive amount of detail and presentation.
You can really tell artists created it and that there was true passion behind the project. I bought it to take a break from technology, computer and phone screens all day.
It's a great emotional relief.

The largest Lego set possible! This is truly an epic Lego set with hours This was a very involved and fun set to put together.
Definitely a collector. I used this set to help keep me busy while I quit smoking cigarettes. It took me about 9 days or close to 55 hours to put together.
It's extremely detailed and accurate. I wish there were more huge Lego Star Wars sets. This made an amazing present for my husband.
I was quite hesitant to buy him such a large set, fearing he'd find it too excessive. He did not. He loved it.
If there are any other questioning wives out there, I'd highly recommend pulling the trigger and buying it. Heads up - the thing is huge! As a wife, I think this is an outrageous waste of money but my husband very much enjoyed it.
Basically it is the most epic childhood dream come true for an adult LEGO lover. If you can somehow justify the cost we don't drink at bars, we got a good tax return, first year not paying for daycare One thing I can say, the dishes at my house have never been so clean ;.

This is a substantial, fun to build set. The size is quite optimal for having the right shape and details while maintaining playability.
Obviously the tricky shape of the ship makes it challenging to design but this is the best version so far, if not counting the UC one. However, some of them are very flimsy due to the challenging shape.
Especially the lid next to the cockpit, the hingle is simply poorly designed and placed.
